FIRST VISIT

Welcome!

We are always excited to meet new patients. Our goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to complete your registration forms if you have not already submitted the completed forms online. Please take all routine medications prior to your visit, if applicable.

If you have been advised by your physician or dentist to use antibiotic premedication because of mitral valve prolapse (MVP), heart murmur, hip, knee, cardiac or other prosthesis, or if you have rheumatic heart disease, please make sure you are on the appropriate antibiotic on the day of your appointment. If you have any questions you can contact us.

We’ve put together this page to help you prepare for your first visit with us. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to “contact us” so we can help you out.

Please bring the following items with you to your first visit.

  • A written referral or x-rays, if your dentist has provided them

  • A list of your current medications

All patients under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

We consider it an honor to care for your endodontic needs and greatly appreciate the trust you place in us to do so. We will do everything we can to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Due to advances in the field of endodontics and related technology, a visit to the endodontist is not very different from having a tooth filled or being treated for other common dental procedures. Every patient is unique, and we are committed to providing you with high quality endodontic care based on your individual needs. Above all else, we want to make your visit to our office a pleasant experience.

NEW PAPERWORK

If you'd like to save time at your first visit, you can fill out your forms in advance!

DENTAL INSURANCE

While we  are not considered "in network" by most dental insurance companies, we  will work with insurers to maximize your benefits. Patients are  responsible for all treatment fees at their first visit. Our office staff will submit claims to your insurance company for you. Your dental  insurance company will reimburse you directly for covered services.

WHAT DOES YOUR PAYMENT COVER?

Most patients will present for an evaluation in our office following referral for endodontic treatment. Payment of the evaluation fee is expected at the conclusion of this visit.

Our treatment fees cover the cost of a comprehensive endodontic diagnostic exam, high quality state of the art materials and treatment time. The cost of treatment also includes a future checkup appointment if necessary, allowing our doctors to monitor ongoing healing and ensure successful treatment outcomes.

CREDIT CARD/CHECK/CASH

We accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

CARECREDIT

Our office participates in CareCredit, a healthcare financing credit program. We offer both 6-month interest-free and 24-month reduced APR financing options. You can apply for the CareCredit program online.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that unanticipated events happen in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all patients, we have created a clear policy for cancellations, no-shows, and late arrivals.

CANCELLATIONS

24-hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This  allows the opportunity for someone else who is in pain and needs care to see us. When you have an appointment with us, Dr. AbdulRahiman, her support staff, your treatment room, and our equipment are all reserved exclusively for you during that time. Additionally, because you have been referred by your dentist, a good deal of time has already been put into preparing for your appointment.  If you are unable to provide 24 hours advance notice, depending on circumstances we may book you for a consult to treatment appt depending on our availability.

NO SHOWS

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show" and will be charged a $50 fee to offset the unavoidable costs of that missed appointment. This amount must be paid prior to rescheduling your next appointment. Patients who repeatedly miss appointments will not be rescheduled.

LATE ARRIVALS

If you arrive late, your appointment may need to be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, we will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. If you are simply too late for us to see you, it will be treated as a no-show (see above). Out of respect and consideration for our staff, other patients, and especially yourself (you deserve care!) please plan accordingly and be on time. We suggest you arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment to ensure that you have time to check in.

ILLNESS

In this case, sharing is not caring! If you are sick or contagious, please reschedule your appointment for another time. For the wellness of all of our patients, we must decline treatment to anyone who arrives to an appointment sick.

WEATHER RELATED CANCELLATIONS

Winter in New England is unpredictable and if conditions are hazardous, we may reschedule your appointments. If you cannot make it for the same reason, please let us know in advance so we may plan our schedules accordingly.
